In the Beginning.....

Hello and Welcome. If you are here you either know me, or have stumbled across this little piece of my life. My name is Sean Douglas. I have a frightening fascination with paper and the like. I really like art and I have been expressing my talent through little paper figures and my newest medium is now cardboard. I have taken a liking to a certain game called Monster Hunter Freedom 2 for the PSP. I have taken it upon myself to better my skill and test it as well to make a full suit of armor from this game. Did I mention it will be out of Cardboard?

I will be keeping up this online journal or blog to track my progress. It will contain my thoughts and my frustrations etc. . . . . so watch out.... this could get ugly...... just kidding.

A lot of people look at my work and say they don't have the patients to do what I do. I have always found it rather relaxing to work with and make stuff out of paper. This is but another challenge I have set in front of myself.

Anyway, to the dirty details. The armor is from a big nasty monster named Rathalos. He is what we like to call a Wyvern. Think like a dragon just no front limbs. ( well the front limbs are part of the wings...) this lovely monster is red with black details and very tempermental. his bigger brother is the Azure Rathalos. he is a midnoght blue color and He is the one I am making the armor from. I will try to post pics of the origional armor or something similar and then the version I am making from cardboard. I am going to try to enter the Holloween Costume contest at work next year, so I have a year to get this done. I hope I win this time. I have not won any contests yet. lets hope this works out. . . .
